Expire timestamp for DKIM signatures

Published on June 10, 2016

The DKIM keys that are used for signing emails now support an "expire" property. This property allows you to add signatures that expire automatically.

Expiring signatures are especially useful if you periodically rotate your DKIM keys. If you rotate your keys, you do not want that email receivers are going to validate DKIM signatures with keys that have already been rotated. By adding an expire time to your signatures, you prevent exactly this.

For more information, check the DKIM JSON documentation.
